My Opinion : It's official; Aprilynne Pike has mastered the art of cliffhangers! So here's something; cliffhangers are stupid! They break my heart and make me want to cry! Okay, maybe not, but they make me... unhappy. Really unhappy and frustrated.

Alright, so I really liked the first book of the series, Wings, from the well-known bestselling author, Aprilynne Pike. I liked Spells as much as I did with Wings, but I felt like Spells had something more to it. Something that made the reader excited just thinking about the next time he/she'd read it. Something magical.

Since I'd read a lot of bad reviews about this book (and now I know not to trust too much someone else's opinion, unless you know you have similar book tastes), and so, I wasn't sure about reading. But, hay, I thought, my library lends me the book for free; what do I have to loose? Only time to read another book. So I decided to try it; wise and clever decision you should make too.

The writing and plot had many twists I didn't see coming(stupid me! Sometimes book are so obvious, you don't see it coming, you say; Oh! It's too obvious, the author won't do it, but she/he does it!). And, the writing was fun and light; what you expect from a fairy/faery/fae/fey book.

Even though Laurel can be sweet and nice and caring, I thought she was plain mean to Tamani; she kept coming back to him even thought she wouldn't be with him. She was like; 'Oh Tamani, I don't need you, Bye! Oh Tamani, I need you, Hello!'.Even though I hated that, it was just part of the story, and so that's why I care less now. I think she's better off with Tamani (sorry for those who are Team David) and I hope she'll end up with him! David was fun, but, I'm pretty sure he's like pretty much every other boy his age (I hope you know what I mean.... horny, driven by hormones), or maybe that's just I,m wrong, but that's my impression on him.

Oh! I fell in love with the cover; green and a kind of pink red= awesome! I really love the cover! Don't you?

There's still Illusions, the third novel in the series, and an not yet released book in this series. I can't wait to read Illusions; I have it!

4.5/5 stars.
