My Opinion :

Of Poseidon is one of the best books I have read in 2012.

This is a great debut novel, and you don't want to miss it.

That should be enough to get you to read it. Alright, bye!

Just kidding! I LOVED OF POSEIDON! I got an ARC from Raincoast Books, and i wasn't sure I was going to get it, and I hope you know how happy I am about getting one, because it ended up being AWESOME.

Of Poseidon is about Emma and Galen. Galen is a Syrena, or, if you prefer, a merman. And he's got a Twitter : @GalenForza. And I am his newest stalker. But, anyways. In Of Poseidon, Galen has to find someone with a gift of Poseidon, so that the two 'societies' or something can get kinda together. But, when he thinks he finds one - Emma - he thinks she is actually hiding her mermaid self, but she just doesn't know it! And, romance ensues.

Of Poseidon is written with sarcasm, humor that makes you chuckle. laugh, and snort. Emma was definitely a strong female lead, especially with her witty come backs. It just made the book so fun! Anna Banks' debut brings some fresh into the YA world.

I loved Galen. He may have hid his emotions a lot, but I thought that made him so hot and smexy (*and, you know, cue the giggles*) Let me put it like this: Galen is friggin' awesome and I want to marry him. Point amde, right? I hope.

Emma. I liked her quite a lot, if not for the fact that she has got Galen (*grumbles*). To say that she and I have many things in common is probably a stretch of reality, but I have to say; I like water too, and I love Galen too. So, that should count, right? Hehe :D

Rayna was so awesome. Even if at first I thought she was going to be a mean bitch tht only cared about herself, she actually wasn't that bad. I liked her quite a lot!

So, the author told me there is a sequel. At first she told me 'Why would there be a sequel', which almost made me have a heart attack, but then she added 'Just kidding'. I mean, if you ahve read the book, you totally know what the cliffhanger is like. It'S like 'Here is a revelation that will change the entire book' 'THE END'. I almost screamed, although I don't think my sleeping mother would have liked it. So, that't why I didn't!

So, if you hadn't guest it yet, I loved this book. A favorite!

  1. Of Poseidon is a story of a young girl named Emma and a boy named Galen. Galen, a prince of the Syrena must search the shores for a girl he believes can communicate with fish. As he tries to accomplish his task, he quite literally runs into Emma and her friend Chloe on the beaches of Florida. While he is sure that there is something special about Emma, he's not positive that she is the one he's searching for. After tragedy strikes and Emma begins to change, Galen finds that she is the girl he is looking for and is possibly the only one who can save his people.
