My Opinion :


Taste by Kate Evangelista is a debut novel that rocked my socks off. I couldn't find them anymore XD

I received an eARC of Taste from the author; I was totally thrilled when she first contacted me for the Trailer and Excerpt Reveal of Taste, because I had set my eye on the book previously. Then, she contacted me again and offered me the offer to review Taste. And I squealed of delight and, of course, accepted the offer. Then, I started the book, and totally fell in love with the book and the characters.

Taste is about Phoenix, a girl who has been sent to an Academy by her cold father. Then, she gets out after the school's curfew, and she meets those weird people who say they are going to feast on her flesh. But then, she has no idea those people are Zhamvyrs; zombies. But, they aren't your typical Hollywood ugly and brain eating zombies. They are a race that has stopped eating human flesh, and is now dying from a substitute to human flesh that they created. And, she falls in love with Demitri, although Luka is a close second.

Taste is a great book; fast-paced and keeps you turning the pages; you can't wait to find out what happens to the awesome and attaching characters Evangelista has created.

In Taste, you get to know Phoenix a little. One thing you need to know about her; she doesn't follower orders, she actually does the exact opposite. Which, gives her a reckless yet determined side. I grew attached to her, since she was such and awesome character.

Then there'S the swoon-worthy face-sucking-worthy (*giggles*) Demitri. I think that something that didn't help me also fall in love with him is the fact that his name is almost like Dimitri from Vampire Academy's name. And, by the way, I love Dimitri AND Demitri.

Luka was a close second for Phoenix... as well as for me. He was just... um... awesome. Yep, that's the word I was looking for!

I really hate Vladimir, but that's probably because he'S a total jerk and the evil guy in the book.

Anyways, Taste is a debut you DON'T want to miss!

My Opinion :


The Last Princess is an impressing book. It was great.


The Last Princess is, correct me if I am wrong, Galaxy Craze's Young Adult novel. I was so happy to  receive a pretty finished copy for review, although I knew I was going to get it, I didn't know that the cover would be as beautiful as it was.

The Last Princess is a dystopian book, but, I don't know why, but at times it felt like a Steampunk novel; probably because it was set in England, and that that there was a dictator. So, it was kind of a Steamtopian... ! Hehe...

The Last Princess is about Eliza. She's a Princess, and the soon-to-be dictator of England has killed her mother, her father and now he has her younger brother and older sister, but, she doesn't know it. So, she decided to enroll in the dictator's army. And, she meets love. But, she has to kill the the soon-to-be dictator. And, that's when she happens to see her brother and sister. She needs to get them out, or else they will be killed.

This book is really great. I don't really know how to explain it, but it holds such a great pull on you, so much that you don't want to stop reading the book. It holds your attention all the while you're reading it.

The Last Princess is magnificent.


Wesley was the bestest (yes, that'S a word... maybe not, but he is). He was just awesome.... (*giggles* *grins*) I want him, Eliza. You better watch out :D

Eliza was a great character too; with flashback memories, not too much, though, and she was perfectly buildt.

The Last Princess is a book you DO NOT want to miss. Seriously.


By the way... the cover is freaking amazing. Bravo to anyone who made it :D

And... there was a cliffhanger... and... I hope there's another book, or else.

Galaxy Craze (born 1970) is an actress and writer. She moved to the U.S. with her mother in 1980. She appeared in a few independent films in the late 1990s, and wrote a novel, By the Shore, published in 1999. She is a 1993 graduate of Barnard College.

Craze told an interviewer that she "didn't say I wanted to be a writer, I just knew that's what I like to do." Another interviewer described her "beauty (as) a quiet, dreamy, and ethereal sort."

What are you currently reading?

 Original Sin by Lisa Desrochers. I was actually going to wait until summer to read this, but then I just got an ARC of the next book... which comes out on May 8th, so it just made me read this sooner, which I am SO happy of, since I am liking it a whole lot!





What did you recently finish?
 The Summer of No Regrets by Katherine Grace Bond. I just got an ARC for review  (got it on Monday), and I read it the evening it came, since it was one day before its release. I didn't like it that much. Here's my review

I really wanted to love this book, but it just wasn't for me.


The Summer of No Regrets is a debut novel, so yeah about that!, but I didn't really enjoyed reading it.

I got my copy the day BEFORE it got out, and so I decided to read it then, so I could have my review up as quickly as possible. I read the book in aobut two hours, and even if I read it quickly, it wasn't fast-paced enough for me.

The Summer of  No Regrets is about Brigitta and Luke... they meet, and Luke looks like this teen sensation called Trent Yves... but is he him? Then, they take care of kittens together, and they fall in love. But, what if she had fallen in love with a lie?  A big lie?

The writing is okay; a bit too much slow-paced with some parts with no action in them, which sometimes makes the book boring.

This book had some blog posts in it. Those were 'written by Brigitta', and they were mostly about how Trent Yves is stupid and yady yada; I didn't really want to read all of them. Some did make the story good... but other posts were just pointless and I just skipped those. And, also, there are some comments on the posts.... and I don't think we needed them... *sigh*

I actually thought that Luke wasn't that good of a guy... and you'll understand if you ever read the book... which I don't really recommend you do, unless you get it from the library. The only thing that should make you want to read the book is of its awesome cover. Point.

Brigitta was a pretty good character, although I didn't really like her that much... I guess I just didn't relate to her at all *shrugs*

One thing that kind of made me uncomfortable is the bits of religion mentions; Brigitta's father had parents that thought of the Christian religion VERY highly, which made her father despise it (and also a bit dislike his parents), and now he's a shaman... which is kind of weird... And, the awkward thing is that Brigitta had a tight relationship with her father's mother...

Anyways, an okay book.

Hey guys! So, this month has been kind of a big month in blogging, but in reading as well. 

What I mean by blogging, is all the Story Siren drama.

But, also by how well I think my blog is going!
